Multiple AEW Wrestlers Test Positive For COVID-19, Details

We reported late last night that AEW star Lance Archer confirmed he had contracted COVID-19. This led to The Murderhawk Monster’s six-man tag team match on Dynamite being canceled. Jon Moxley later defended the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston.

“When I returned from our last show, a family member was ill when I got home. I found out later a friend who had taken my family member to the Vet for our Dachshund was COVID positive. While at home, now I’ve also gotten sick tested positive. I feel ok, expect to see me in 2 wks.”

He wasn’t the only one out sick. Brain Cage posted the following on his Instagram account but later took it down.

“Not feeling very well, but still looking GOOD! Best body guy even while sick and out of then gym #machine #swolverine #redcon1 #bodyguy #luchaundergroundunderwear

Now according to Fightful and Jon Alba, multiple AEW wrestlers who were present at the September 9th tapings have tested positive for COVID over the past two weeks.

Some talent who tested positive were brought in for AEW Dark and are not signed to All Elite Wrestling. Regardless all wrestlers are tested before entering Daily’s Place in Jacksonville.

If the wrestlers tested positive ahead of last night’s tapings or had their own tests done independently is currently unknown. This could be the reason why we saw some missing wrestlers during last night’s show. Stay with Pro Wrestling News Hub on this breaking story.

UPDATE: Ben Carter annouced via Twitter that he has COVID as well
