As previously reported, The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) defeated Proud ‘N’ Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) during the main event of this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite. It was a Texas Street Fight, to become the #1 Contenders to SCU’s AEW World Tag Team Titles.
Though it didn’t seem obvious while the Texas Street Fight was taking place. Nick Jackson was reportedly working the match while suffering from a “terrible flu.” Nick’s brother, Matt Jackson took to Twitter after the match had already ended and said that Nick Jackson was laying on the floor in their locker room all day and he almost couldn’t compete. Matt Jackson also said that he is proud that Nick Jackson is his brother and tag team partner.

Nick laid on the floor in our locker room all day, suffering a terrible flu, then popped up & put in that gutsy performance tonight. He won’t say it, so I’ll do it for him. Proud he’s my brother & tag team partner.— The Young Bucks® (@MattJackson13) December 12, 2019
