Omega Captures AEW World Title, AEW/IMPACT Working Together

The main event of last night’s “Winter Is Coming” episode of AEW Dynamite saw Kenny Omega beat Jon Moxley to become the new AEW World Champion. Pro Wrestling legend Don Callis, who did commentary work for IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW, joined the commentary table to call the Moxley vs. Omega Main Event Match.

In the closing moments of the match, Don Callis made his way down to the ring to check on Kenny Omega after Omega was on the other end of a nasty-looking suplex and took a horrible spill to the outside. Moxley went on to continue the fight, but Don Callis got on a microphone to tell the referee Omega is hurt.

Moxley then nailed Callis with a punch, and the microphone ended up in the ring. Omega took the mic, hit Moxley with it, and finished him off with a one-winged angel to capture the AEW World Title.

Immediately following the match, Don Callis grabbed the AEW World Title and helped Kenny Omega out of the arena straight towards a vehicle that was waiting for them, while running past an angry Tony Khan as well as the AEW roster.

Alex Marvez was not too far from Callis and Omega and asked Callis what they just witnessed. Don said that everyone will find out Tuesday on AXS TV, which is when IMPACT Wrestling airs.

It looks like AEW and IMPACT Wrestling now have a partnership and the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega will be on the show this coming Tuesday night with Don Callis.
