Original Full Gear Plans For Cody Rhodes Reportedly Changed

AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday saw a huge tag team match between Cody Rhodes and PAC vs. Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black being added to the lineup of this Saturday’s Full Gear Event. These four have been feuding with each other over the past number of weeks, with Cody Rhodes and Malakai Black having a separate rivalry to that of PAC and Andrade El Idolo before their storylines were made into one and Cody Rhodes and PAC are now working together against common enemies.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the original plan for the Full Gear PPV Event this coming Saturday was to have a Fatal 4-Way Matchup between these four wrestlers, but AEW President and CEO Tony Khan changed the Fatal 4-Way Match to a tag team match once their storylines started to develop.

Full Gear this Saturday has 10 matches in the lineup and the Event will be stacked from top to bottom as majority of the championship titles will be defended and a huge 10-Man Match will be taking place. The Buy-In Pre-Show will also see a huge match take place, where Nyla Rose and Jamie Hayter will face Thunder Rosa and Hikaru Shida.
