Reason Jim Ross Was Part Of The AEW Rampage Commentary Team

All Elite Wrestling held their Blood & Guts AEW Dynamite episode last Wednesday, with the second-ever Blood & Guts Match main-eventing the show and the legendary voice of professional wrestling and AEW’s Jim Ross would noticeably only call the action during the Blood & Guts Match, which would take up the entire second hour of the broadcast. Jim Ross would receive a huge reaction from the crowd and it was later announced that the wrestling legend will be calling the action during the entire AEW Rampage as well, which was taped immediately following AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday, but is set to air later tonight on TNT.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the reason behind this is AEW is experimenting with their commentary team by doing a little bit of a shakeup, though it wasn’t revealed if this will only be happening for this week’s AEW programming or if this is what the company will be doing going forward. The WWE Hall of Famer would also only call the action during the last few matches at Forbidden Door this past Sunday night.
