REPORT: AEW Double Or Nothing PPV Moving To Jacksonville Florida

There is more news regarding AEW’s next pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing. According to the latest reports, the PPV will move from its original Las Vegas location.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the current plan is for the Double or Nothing pay-per-view to air from Jacksonville, Florida.

Since AEW is already planning to air live and taped episodes of AEW Dynamite on TNT from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, it makes sense for this location to be its home-base for the near future.

AEW is in the same tough situation as WWE in regards to taping and running live shows. The Governor of Florida recently ordered that sports leagues with national audiences are now essential businesses, a political favor some might say because Linda McMahon is head of a Trump’s super PAC and gave millions to Florida a day before this announcement from the Governor.

Doing this for WWE in effect would also include any other pro wrestling company and MMA like AEW and UFC.

AEW was scheduled to hold their Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on May 23rd in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. With Las Vegas being on lockdown and the strip being closed, holding the event there is not possible.
