Report: AEW Made Changes To Their COVID Testing Procedures

All Elite Wrestling officials have decided to change their COVID testing policy’s for anyone working its TV tapings at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Wrestling Inc is reporting that new protocols had started at this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite tapings. Those wrestlers who are working the shows will get tested from home first and then get tested on-site.

The report noted that medical staff consulted with the NFL COVID response team to update the testing process. It makes sense since Tony Khan and his father own the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Before the new procedure, AEW would have people sent to an off-site facility the morning of tapings to have a blood test done. Once passing the test, they are given a wrist band and taken to Daily’s Place. This new process adds an extra layer of protection as we get into the Fall months.

Lance Archer and Ben Carter have already confirmed they tested positive for COVID, so it seems there may have been some issues after the last set of TV tapings.

Today, we reported that there had been multiple wrestlers who tested positive for COVID since the September 9th set of TV tapings. Hopefully, these new procedures will keep the wrestlers safe for the Fall into Winter months.
