Rey Fenix Out Joey Janela In For Casino Ladder Match At DON

All Elite Wrestling announced via social media that Rey Fenix is out for the Casino Ladder Match at tonights Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. He will be replaced by ‘Bad Boy’ Joey Janela.

Fenix was injured during this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite on TNT. He was performing a high spot dive off the top rope. The competitors on the ground failed to catch him and he landed hard on the floor. Injuring his back and hip.

There was talk late yesterday that Fenix could work the show in a limited capacity. However late last night, the decision was made for him not to participate. AEW did note his injury was not too serious and he’s expected to be back in the ring soon.

As we reported yesterday, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. was also been pulled from the Double Or Nothing event due to a knee injury she sustained during AEW Dynamite.

No update on her injury but there are rumors that it could be serious and the Dr. could be out of for several months. A tough blow to someone who was in the middle of getting a big push and gaining fan interest in her heel character.
