Rumor Killer On Thunder Rosa Requesting Her Release From AEW

Thunder Rosa, who is the current AEW Women’s World Champion, after beating Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in a Steel Cage Match during the St. Patrick’s Day Slam episode of AEW Dynamite to win the championship, has been put on the sidelines due to a back injury and it was revealed that she will not be medically cleared to defend her title at last Sunday’s AEW All Out PPV Event. It would then be revealed that an Interim AEW Women’s World Title Match will take place at the All Out PPV between Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, Toni Storm and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., which was ultimately won by Toni Storm.

There have been rumors and speculation that AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa isn’t injured and she even requested her release from the promotion, but those rumors have been debunked. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com recently took to Twitter and revealed that Thunder didn’t ask for her AEW release as she is currently taking time off after announcing that she is suffering from a back injury. There are a number of conflicting reports on the actual reason Rosa is taking time away from the promotion, but at the end of the day, she is still with AEW and will make her return to face the Interim AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm to unify the titles once she is medically cleared.
