Scott Hall To Be Taken Off Of Life Support As Per Kevin Nash

Scott Hall, who is known primarily from his character in WWE known as Razor Ramon, suffered three heart attacks after breaking his hip and other complications that arose from his procedure—a surgery to replace the hip that he broke earlier in the month, as per a report at Wrestling Inc.

He has had health issues before, but this is worse than anything he has been through.

As news spread over the course of the day yesterday, many were heartbroken but sent their well wishes to the legend. But as his closest friend, Kevin Nash stated on Instagram earlier this morning, his family has decided to take him off of life support. Here’s what Kevin Nash had to say:

“Scott’s on life support. Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support. I’m going to lose the one person on this planet I’ve spent more of my life with than anyone else. My heart is broken and I’m so very f—ing sad. I love Scott with all my heart but now I have to prepare my life without him in the present…

I’ve been blessed to have a friend that took me at face value and I him. When we jumped to WCW we didn’t care who liked or hated us. We had each other and with the smooth Barry Bloom we changed wrestling both in content and pay for those……a lot that disliked us…

We were the “Outsiders ” but we had each other. Scott always felt he wasn’t worthy of the afterlife. Well God please have some gold plated toothpicks for my brother. My life was enriched with his take on life. He wasn’t perfect but as he always said ‘The last perfect person to walk the planet they nailed to a cross’ …

As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain’t going to see another one like him again. See Ya down the road Scott. I couldn’t love a human being any more than I do you…”

Scott Hall and Kevin Nash both changed the business. Because of a deal they brokered with WCW back in 1996 while still with the WWF, they started something that would change the wrestling business forever, marking the dawn of guaranteed contracts in the business of pro wrestling. This is arguable, as many believe that it was first Hulk Hogan that started the whole guaranteed contract revolution, including Hogan himself, and way back in 1983 according to his testimonial on the matter:

“In 1983, I had a guaranteed contract…When I decided to leave Verne for Vince, I had a 10-year deal with a minimum guarantee. I had the first guaranteed contract…”

Regardless, Hall and Nash certainly started something at least for other wrestlers when they brokered their own deals at that time. The business changed from that point onward quite obviously.

It was in WCW that they unleashed the NWO onto the world alongside the aforementioned Hulk Hogan and essentially got the ball rolling for what was to become the Attitude Era in professional wrestling—the greatest era the business has ever experienced overall.

According to a report at webmd.com, once an individual is taken off of life support, death soon follows, however they also state that some individuals do start breathing on their own once taken off of life support.

Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but we here at Pro Wrestling News Hub hope that is the case for Scott Hall. Our prayers are with his family at this terrible time.
