Shaq Says He Will Make AEW In-Ring Return This Summer

It looks like NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal may be making his AEW in-ring return this summer as he said during his appearance on Thursday’s episode of Inside the NBA on TNT when asked about when he will be wrestling again that he will be wrestling “soon, this summer.” Kenny Smith asked this question to NBA legend Shaq after a wrestling-related GIF was shown in a tweet that was read on the show.

Shaq’s AEW in-ring debut took place on the March 3rd episode of Dynamite, when he teamed up with Jade Cargill to defeat Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. The match ended with Cargill securing a pinfall victory over Velvet, but Shaq going through two tables on the floor was the highlight of the night and it was the reason for Shaq receiving high praises and adulations.

He would have his pro wrestling in-ring debut in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at the WWE WrestleMania 32 Event back in 2016, where the NBA legend had his famous stare-down with The Big Show.

There is no word yet on what All Elite Wrestling may have in store for Shaq when he makes his in-ring return, but updates will be provided as it becomes available.
