Hiphop music icon and WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg appeared on the January 6 Dynamite episode on TNT, where he promoted his “Go-Big Show” talent competition series, a show which features AEW EVP Cody and himself as the judges and a show that premiered on TBS the very next night. It was reported back then that Snoop Dogg has some heat within WWE for his appearance on Dynamite.
Snoop Dogg recently appeared as a guest on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning podcast with WWE talent Peter Rosenberg, where he confirmed that WWE was indeed unhappy with his decision to show up on AEW TV.
This is what Snoop Dogg said:
“They felt some type of way.”
Snoop Dogg then added that he wasn’t there in a wrestling capacity as he is not a wrestler, he is way bigger than that. Snoop Dogg said he was just there to promote The Go-Big Show on TBS as Cody was one of the judges on the show, and he is one of the top dogs at AEW, so, as a promotional vehicle for the gig, he went on AEW.
This is what Snoop Dogg said:
“Let me tell you this, Snoop Dogg ain’t no wrestler. He’s bigger than that. You gotta understand that. This is the dynamics of what happened: I had a show on TBS called Go-Big Show. So, Cody Rhodes was one of the judges on the show, and he’s one of the top dogs at AEW. So, as a promotional vehicle for the gig, I went on AEW.”
Snoop Dogg then said that WWE confronted him and paused his push for appearing on Dynamite, then they approached him and told him they got this video game and they need him for the game, but he told WWE, since they told him to push pause, that goes the same way for them.
This is what Snoop Dogg said:
“‘Hey, you f***ing with them? We got to push pause on your ass for a minute.’” “So, I say, ‘cool.’ They pushed pause for about two weeks, and then they say, ‘Hey man, we got this video game and we need you.’ Well, you know what? Since y’all told me to push pause, that’ll be double.”
The Hiphop music icon was most probably referring to the WWE 2K22 video game. Snoop Dogg was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2016 as a celebrity inductee.
