Thousands Of Tickets Sold During AEW Rampage’s First Dance Special Pre-Sale

A massive announcement was made by AEW announcer Tony Schiavone during last Wednesday’s Fight For The Fallen episode of Dynamite that the company will be heading to the United Center in Chicago on August 20 for the First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage. This could potentially be one of AEW’s biggest shows in company history as it has been speculated that CM Punk could make his AEW debut on the show.

The United Center in Chicago, where the show will be held, can seat to at least 23,000 fans, so it is expected that something big will happen and since Chicago is the hometown of CM Punk, despite nothing being confirmed yet, last Wednesday’s Fight For The Fallen episode of Dynamite saw a number of teases that Punk will definitely be making his AEW debut on the show.

Pre-sale tickets for the First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage went on sale on Friday at 11AM ET and the tickets went by really fast that the company reportedly sold more than 12,000 tickets. By the time that it became 11:45, only upper deck seats were left and by 3:45PM ET, only 100 seat were left.

The remaining tickets for the First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage are set to go on sale to the general public this coming Monday and according to PWInsider.com tickets for all price points will be available on Monday as well. The First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage will be the first of four shows AEW will be having in the Chicago area as following this show, the company will begin their All Out Week with an episode of Dynamite on September 1st, Rampage on September 3rd, then the All Out PPV on September 5th, all of which are taking place at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
