Last April 7th, AEW and NWA Star Thunder Rosa filed to trademark her real name, Melissa Cervantes and her pro wrestling company “Mission Pro Wrestling” under the category of merchandise and entertainment services with the USPTO. The trademark was filed through Michael E. Dockins, who has assisted several AEW Stars with their trademark filings as well.
Rosa, who continues to be a top star in AEW as well as the NWA, also filed to trademark her ring name and the “La Mera Mera” term, which means “The One and Only.”
Mission Pro Wrestling is an all-female pro wrestling promotion owned by AEW/NWA Star Thunder Rosa and former WWE Star Carlene “Jazz” Moore-Begnaud.
The promotion had its first event last September with around two hundred people in the audience, who had to follow mask and distancing guidelines in place.
The event reportedly sold out quickly and was streamed online on Title Match Network. The idea behind the promotion, according to Rosa and Jazz, is to give opportunities to underrepresented talents.
