Tony Khan Talks Possible Collaboration Between ROH And NJPW

All Elite Wrestling has had a strong working relationship with NJPW since they launched the promotion in 2019 and since then top stars from both companies have appeared on the other brand such as Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and “The Wizard” Chris Jericho appearing in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Rocky Romero, Minoru Suzuki, “Switchblade” Jay White, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada appearing in AEW.

AEW and ROH owner Tony Khan took part in a media scrum prior to the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV and talked about a possible collaboration down the line between ROH and NJPW. Khan noted that he believes it’s possible for ROH and NJPW to have a collaboration in the near future and that AEW will be a part of that collaboration as well, which is why he made it an absolute certainty to feature the ROH World Tag Team Titles at Forbidden Door.

The Forbidden Door PPV Event marked the first time in the history of pro wrestling that two major pro wrestling promotions collaborated and held a joint event. There have been rumors and it has even been talked about a number of times that we could see a second Forbidden Door PPV take place in the future and this time we could see ROH be a part of that PPV Event.

You can check out Tony Khan’s comments in the video below. H/T to Wrestling Inc. for transcribing the quotes.
