Top AEW Star Apparently Unhappy About Competing On Rampage

This past Sunday’s AEW All Out PPV Event was supposed to feature a Singles Matchup between Andrade El Idolo and PAC, but there were issues beyond AEW’s control that prevented the match from taking place, which Dave Meltzer revealed on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program is similar to the reason why WWE Superstar Sasha Banks has been off of WWE TV and that is travel issues.

A backstage segment took place at All Out, where Andrade said that he was at the show and is ready to compete and it was even hinted that Chavo Guerrero may have been the person behind PAC’s flight being canceled, which seemed to cause a little bit of tension between Andrade and Chavo Guerrero. There are rumors that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair may be heading to AEW soon to replace Chavo Guerrero as Andrade’s manager.

The Singles Match between Andrade and PAC has now been set to take place on this Friday’s AEW Rampage episode, but it seems that Andrade is not too happy in competing on the show or at least that is what it looks like based on Andrade’s recent activity on Twitter. A fan took to Twitter and asked WWE Star Charlotte Flair in a joking manner why she let AEW put Andrade in a match on Friday Night Heat, which he then said he meant Rampage. Andrade liked that tweet from the fan, which could mean that he is not happy with being booked on Rampage.

The “Friday Night Heat” tweet is a reference to the old WWF “Sunday Night Heat” show that started out strong, but began to lose its ratings within a couple of months and it was clear that the show was “a B-show,” though AEW President Tony Khan has mentioned several times that AEW Rampage is considered an “A” show just like AEW Dynamite.
