Several top AEW Stars have returned on AEW television over the past number of weeks and it looks like another top star is set to make his return soon. ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe has been out of action for the past few weeks as he has been filming the Peacock series, “Twisted Metal,” based on the video game. The ROH World Television Champion is set to play the dual role of Sweet Tooth, who is the main character of the series and the character will be voiced by Will Arnett.
“Twisted Metal” has been described as a “high-octane action comedy” series, which is set to include a number of characters based on some of the different unique drivers from the game, but a premiere date for the show has yet to be revealed.
Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith took to Twitter and revealed that the first season of the TV series has officially wrapped up filming, which means that Samoa Joe could be making his return to AEW soon. Samoa Joe last competed at the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV Event on July 23rd, when he successfully retained his ROH World TV Championship over Jay Lethal.
