Update On The Health Status Of AEW Star Kenny Omega

Top AEW Star Kenny Omega, who is considered as one of the greeatest, if not the greatest pro wrestler in the world today and who has been a champion in every promotion he has competed in, previously took to his official Twitter (X) account and revealed that he will be out of action indefinitely.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Omega was diagnosed with diverticulitis and this will impact AEW in a huge way as they have a massive AEW World Tag Team Championship Matchup scheduled for their Worlds End 2023 PPV Event on Saturday, December 30th from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York, where AEW World Tag Team Champions “Absolute” Ricky Starks and Big Bill was set to defend their titles against The Golden Jets (Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega).

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Kenny Omega first thought the hernia he had back in 2022 that put him on the shelf for a significant period of time was back again, but The Best Bout Machine found out he had diverticulitis when he went to the hospital as the situation had gotten really bad at that point. Meltzer also stated that he had heard Omega was in a lot of pain on Wednesday when he did the promo with Jericho and he doesn’t know how long Omega will be out, but it was a very serious situation by the time he got to the hospital.
