In a rich period of time in the wrestling industry, it is definitely the perfect moment to be a wrestler and wrestling fan for obvious reasons, but it’s likewise the most epic of times to be a pro wrestling journalist. There’s always so much news and as of late, the news has been coming at us at breakneck speed. AEW and professional wrestling legend, Sting, sends out a call over the Twitterverse; Dr. Britt Baker chimes in on whether her beau, Adam Cole, is bound for AEW and Mickie James has got some fighting words in defense of Bray Wyatt.
“You’re Fired!”
It was announced yesterday on a plethora of news sites that Ric Flair was released by WWE after he, himself supposedly asked to be released from his contract. Yet in an interesting turn of events, it is coming to light that perhaps, Flair, was fired in actual fact, and didn’t ask for his release at all.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Flair, who had been very disillusioned with his daughter, Charlotte’s booking in recent history, actually complained to Vince, essentially sending McMahon a text message, making his sentiments clear.
Meltzer stated:
“…Now, I’ve seen it said that it was his decision to leave and I just know from people who I know who are closer to this situation than I am that say that it was Vince’s decision…”

He also went on to say that he is aware that Flair and Tony Khan do have a great relationship, but also stated that that was precisely why Khan would never have asked Flair to voluntarily opt out of what was reportedly a contract of epic proportions.
Looks like Vince McMahon is hell-bent on ridding the roster of anyone and everyone these days. All I can say to that is, maybe no one is safe. Watch out WWE locker room.
Sting sends beacon to an old rival
And in typical fashion, AEW star, Sting sends out a call to his old friend and rival. The rumor mill in pro wrestling always travels at full speed. Trust us here at Pro Wrestling News Hub, we know, and the rumor mill is definitely going up in momentum and speed over the fact that maybe Ric will show up at AEW.
It would most certainly be amazing and appropriate. He can reunite with Arn Anderson; have the same type of role as Arn. The sky is the limit, really.
Is Adam Cole (Bay! Bay!) on his way to AEW?
His significant other, Dr. Britt Baker recently made some comments regarding the online buzz that Adam Cole’s contract at WWE is almost up…many speculating if he too has AEW in his sights.
She told the UK Daily Star:
“…hold down the Tuesday night and I’ll hold down the Wednesday night, right? …I think it’s funny when people say, ‘He has to go to AEW because of Britt!’ Because there are so many more people at AEW who have played a bigger role in the wrestling side of his life…People like The Young Bucks, Kenny [Omega]; he was in the Bullet Club for the majority of the indie career people know him for. He has such a history in AEW that, if he came here, the storylines are endless – but he’s happy where he is. So, if he were to jump ship and come my way, that would be awesome, but if he stays in WWE forever then I’d be happy, too, as I just want him to be happy…It’s such a big part of our lives. I watch everything he does. I was out to dinner with Tony Schiavone and Rebel, and I had The Great American Bash on my phone at the dinner table, making sure I could watch his main event match…I don’t miss anything of his and he doesn’t miss anything of mine…It doesn’t matter where he works, where I work or where either of us end up, we just want success for one another…”

Essentially, as was reported by WrestlingInc, she doesn’t want people to think that the only reason he needs to go to AEW is because of her.
Mickie James slams WWE
In some pretty courageous statements, Mickie James decides to take a hit at WWE for placing the Bray Wyatt Fiend character on Alexa Bliss, stating in essence that WWE is known for this and is essentially a lazy way to deliver an angle to the audience, stating that WWE can’t really find anything original for a lot of their wrestlers moving forward.
“…I think what you meant to say was: “Thank you so much for coming up with such an incredible gimmick(time & time again)one so cool & over, we really didn’t know how to book it right. So we just gave it to someone else so we can still make ALL the money off of it & let you go…Facts are facts. So sorry if that offends you…”

As was reported by webisjericho.com, when James was released, WWE sent her the belongings she had left there in a trash bag!
That’s how you treat a legend? Of this, she stated:
“…He (Vince) called me on the phone to apologize and to let me know that this isn’t what he thought of me. I tagged Vince in that tweet because he needs to know, because there’s a lot of stuff that happens under his nose that he is completely oblivious to because he’s running a multi-billion dollar company…”

It looks to most that the cracks over in WWE are starting to show big time, and a bunch of disgruntled employees are making their voices heard.
