Top All Elite Wrestling Star “Le Champion” Chris Jericho recently took to his Talk Is Jericho podcast and revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 back in September of last year. This reportedly happened at the same timeframe that top AEW Stars Nick Jackson and Lance Archer as well as former AEW Star Ben Carter tested positive for COVID-19 as well.
Dave Meltzer reported on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio program that this string of positive COVID-19 test results came on September 12th during the company’s set of TV tapings.
Alvarez then mentioned that even though Chris Jericho was on AEW TV during this time period, which would have been from September 11th to September 23rd, The Demo God had more than enough time to self-quarantine and self-isolate himself, which was about 10 days.
At the next set of AEW TV taping, Chris Jericho reportedly tested negative for COVID-19, allowing him to continue his appearances on Dynamite. Meltzer then reported that Nick Jackson got the virus at the same time that Jericho did, but Nick was out longer than Jericho since he missed AEW’s next TV taping as well, but returned at the following TV tapings.
Regarding Lance Archer, Dave Meltzer reported that he would have been out about the same timeframe as Nick Jackson has and he even thinks that they pretty much had identical timeframes. Meltzer then said that Archer contracted the virus from a family member, who may have gotten it from a friend when they took the dog to a vet.
Nick Jackson, on the other hand, reportedly got it real bad, but Dave Meltzer doesn’t know whether he got it from the TV tapings or the airport.
