WWE On FOX Twitter Account Pokes Fun At AEW PPV Match Finish

At AEW’s Full Gear PPV Event, there was a spot in the main event matchup between AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. It saw MJF, who was Cody Rhodes’ cornerman at the time and his best friend, throw the towel in that put a stop to the match. MJP’s action caused Cody Rhodes a chance at the AEW World Title.

This past Sunday night’s WWE Survivor Series PPV Event saw a similar instance during the No Holds Barred WWE Title Match between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio. This time Rey Mysterio’s son, Dominick, teased to throw the towel in to end the match, but it never happened.

WWE On FOX’s official Twitter account recently poked some fun on the match finish at AEW’s Full Gear PPV with the following tweet:

“Throwing in the towel? Not in @WWE. (laughing emoji) (laughing emoji)”
