Xavier Woods Responds To Jericho Mentioning Him On Dynamite

This past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite apparently saw top AEW Star Chris Jericho mention WWE Superstar Xavier Woods while performing his commentary duties during the main event of the evening.

Jericho said that Cody Rhodes once defeated Austin Watson, which is Xavier Woods’ real name, in amateur wrestling in high school.

Cody Rhodes really did defeat Xavier Woods in amateur wrestling in high school, which they discussed a couple of times on episodes of Talk Is Jericho. Back in 2016, it was said that Xavier Woods not only told Chris Jericho that Cody Rhodes defeated him, but Cody also made Woods look bad in front of a girl that he had a crush on.

Cody Rhodes then said that he recalls the incident differently, stating that Woods and his friend, Tony, were going through a “Ruff Ryders” phase at the time. Cody Rhodes and Xavier Woods then said that their paths didn’t cross again until Woods debuted in TNA.
