WWE recently aired their 50 Greatest Tag Teams series on Peacock and the WWE Network, after which the company would name the New Day as the #1 Tag Team in WWE history as part of WWE’s top 50 Greatest Tag Teams list. SmackDown Superstar Big E would then take to his Twitter and comment on the massive honor and prestige it is for the New Day for being named the #1 Tag Team in WWE history.
This is what Big E said:
“I know many will disagree with the list but being named the greatest tag team of all time makes me reflect on our journey. I’m massively grateful for @TrueKofi & @AustinCreedWins. I’m thankful we bet on ourselves & were unafraid to pursue a path that felt right for us.”
AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks then proceeded to make fun of Big E for his greatest tag team comment by saying the opposite of everything Big E had said.
This is what The Young Bucks said:
“We know many will disagree with the list but being named the greatest tag team of all time makes us reflect on our journey. We’re massively grateful for us. We’re thankful we bet on ourselves & were unafraid to pursue a path that felt right for us.”
As of this writing, Big E has yet to respond to the Young Bucks’ comment and neither have Xavier Woods or Kofi Kingston. For years now, the Young Bucks and the New Day have been making fun and mocking one another, so this appears to be a friendly jab as well from the Young Bucks. Big E even went as far as liking the Young Bucks’ tweet. In the past, Nick Jackson even revealed in an interview that the Elite vs. the New Day is his dream match and that the match even came close to actually happening.
