AEW Dynamite Results (04/15): Undisclosed Location

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite opens up with a promo from Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

He starts by saying that when he walks into a place, he commands attention. Roberts then says that he believes Archer is going to enjoy the tournament. Roberts then says that Colt Cabana has skills, but not enough to beat the animal that is Archer. Roberts then says to listen to him or regret it, it is our choice.

Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho are on commentary and they break down the show for us.

We then get the entrances for the first match of the evening.

Colt Cabana then cuts a promo about beating the expectations of some individuals, realizes he can be a bit over the top in the match, but he know he can be a winner. Cabana then says that Archer has been dominant overseas, but he has been doing the same thing for many, many years. Cabana then says that he is gambling on himself and gambling to become the TNT Champion.

Prior to the opening match getting started, Lance Archer destroys a number of wrestlers in the crowd and nails Colt Cabana with a hard forearm.

Lance Archer def. Colt Cabana via pinfall with the Blackout to advance in the semi-finals of the TNT Championship Tournament.

We then get a promo from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D is at the dentist office where she talks about the rules of being a role model. Baker then says to “always fight fair” as she refers to her fighting despite Shida using “dirty tactics” that caused a deviated septum.

Ariel Helwani and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz then give their predictions for tonight’s No Holds Barred Empty Arena Match for the AEW World Title between AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Jake Hager. Helwani goes with Hager, while Taz goes with Moxley.

We then go to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get a video package of “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz breaking down Jake Hager’s devastating submission move that is the arm triangle.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D def. Cassandra Golden via pinfall with a stomp to the back of her head.

Ron Funches and Mike Goldberg then weigh in on Moxley vs. Hager to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get a video vignette of the Inner Circle, which is entitled “The Bubbly Bunch.”

We see members of the Inner Circle hanging out at their homes and talking to each other on the phone. Santana and Ortiz rip on the Young Bucks. Jake Hager then says that he would destroy Kenny Omega and plans on beating the s— out of Jon Moxley. Chris Jericho then makes fun of Hangman Page for not being around. Jericho then says that the Inner Circle will be enjoying a little bit of the bubbly soon enough. Jericho then says that he has to go and talk with his assistant, then yells at them about finding more toilet paper.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Sammy Guevara def. Suge D via pinfall with Feast Your Eyes. After the match, Guevara gets on the mic. Guevara says that tonight was light work and he could go another round. Guevara then says how about we just spoil the first round of the TNT Championship Tournament. Guevara then says, “How about Sammy Guevara beats the s— out of Darby Allin?” Guevara then stomps away at Suge D a bit more, but Allin runs out to the ring to chase him off.

”Big” John McCarthy and Excalibur then offer their takes on Moxley vs. Hager to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Kip Sabian def. Chuck Taylor via pinfall with a bridging folding press.

Dan Soder, Sammy Guevara and Ortiz then chime in on Moxley vs. Hager to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get a recap of Shawn Spears losing to “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes last week in the TNT Championship Tournament and his victory over Billy Gunn on AEW Dark last night.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Shawn Spears def. Justin Law via pinfall with C4.

Commentary then hypes up next week’s show, including Kip Sabian vs. Orange Cassidy, before informing us that our main event is coming up next, with Jim Ross on solo commentary.

Josh Thomson and Santana then offer up their thoughts on Moxley vs. Hager to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get the entrances for the main event of the evening.

Jon Moxley def. Jake Hager via pinfall in a No Holds Barred Empty Arena Match with a Paradigm Shift on a steel chair to retain his AEW World Championship. After the match, Moxley celebrates a bit, then says to the camera, “You’re not going to take it from me! This is my year! AEW is the best promotion in the world, and I am on top.” The show then comes to a close.
