WWE NXT Tops AEW Dynamite In Viewers, AEW Still Ranked Higher

The ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT were released Thursday. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, it was again another mixed bag. AEW out ranked NXT, but NXT finished with way more viewers.

AEW drew 683,000 viewers down from last week’s 692,000 viewers and finished 29th overall, still way down from three weeks ago when it finished with 819,000 viewers. As with the last two week’s show, this show took place in front of no fans in Georgia at the Nightmare Factory. That show featured the highly anticipated main event of Jon Moxley def. Jake Hager in the No Holds Barred Empty Arena Match.

NXT drew 692,000 viewers slightly down from last week’s low of 693,000 viewers. It finished 58th overall, this is basically the same as last week.

The total combined audience for both shows was up from last week to 1.385 million viewers. The is the same as last week.

Based on the ratings, still, most people in the US were watching one of the three cable news networks most of the night due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pro wrestling fans are buying the none live events right now.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.25 / NXT: 0.17
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.15
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.35
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.15
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.09
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.17
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.30
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.28
