AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 2nd, 2nd Highest Viewers Ever, April 14th, 2021

Ratings for the Wednesday, April 14th, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 2nd overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 1,219,000 viewers way up from last week’s 688,000 viewers. It was a record-breaking night for the show. They finished 5th overall last week. Dynamite was taped this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The show featured Matt Hardy vs Darby Allin for the TNT title. Its previous record for viewers was 1,016,000 on September 9th, 2020.

On Tuesday on its new night, NXT drew 805,000 viewers up from last week’s 768,000 viewers. It finished 8th overall, last week they finished 11th on its final time head to head with AEW. The show featured the fallout from WrestleMania. This is the first time these two shows no longer go head to head.

Based on the ratings, cable news had 6 of the top 15 shows. FOX News had 3 at #8, #12 and #15. CNN had the other 3 at #10, #11, #13.

MTV’s Challenge Double Agent won the night with AEW in at #2. Snowfall on FX came in at #3 and the NBA on ESPN at #4 and #5.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.44/ NXT: 0.22
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.32
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.55
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.26
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.19
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.23
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.50
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.50
