AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 9th, NXT 38th, September 23rd, 2020

Ratings for the Wednesday, September 23, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite were released Thursday. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 9th overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 835,000 viewers slightly down from last week’s 886,000 viewers. They finished 3rd overall last week. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. It featured Mr. Brodie Lee vs Orange Cassidy for the TNT Championship and Jon Moxley vs Eddie Kingston. A match that was changed at the last minute due to Lance Archers being out.

NXT drew 696,000 viewers slightly up from last week’s 689,000 viewers. It finished 38th overall, last week they finished 31st overall. The show featured Kyle O’Reilly winning the first-ever Gauntlet Eliminator Match for an NXT Championship opportunity.

The total combined wrestling audience for both shows was slightly down to 1.531 million viewers. It was at 1.575 million total viewers last week.

Based on the ratings, the NBA and NHL playoffs plus SportsCenter took up 6 spots in the top 15. Seven news shows finished in the top 15. The NBA playoffs won the night with two Fox News shows coming in 4th and 5th to make up the rest of the top 5. In the 50 + demo most love watching Fox News.

Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.23
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.40
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.20
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.16
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.18
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.38
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.32
