AEW’s Ruby Soho To Go under Knife For Broken Nose

AEW’s Ruby Soho is an incredible performer. She has performed her role to perfection since debuting in AEW on the 8th of September last year. Ruby was released from the WWE due to their ongoing budget cuts. She is currently not in action due to the injury that happened to her at AEW All Out: ‘Zero Hour’ which was their way of calling it a pre-show.

Soho teamed with Ortiz to challenge Tay Conti and Sammy Guevara for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles. The match went well until Conti decided to hit a knee strike to Soho’s face. The move went wrong and Ruby was walked to the back by referee Rick Knox while she was holding her nose as blood was coming from in between her fingers. You can witness the moment at 15:24 in the video below.

She was scheduled to make her 1PW debut in the U.K. on October 1st, but she sent a video to the promotion and through them to the fans that she would not be able to attend the show due to the injury. Ruby also mentioned that she has to go under the knife to fix her broken nose in two places, and a messed up septum.

If you thought wrestling isn’t real, we guess this would help you understand how these superstars put their bodies on the line to bring the action to us in the arena and at home. While there’s no confirmed return date, Soho hopes that she should be back to the promotion in February next year. The promotion announced the same via Twitter, and here’s the transcript of the words by Soho in the video for your reading pleasure.

Hey 1PW fans. It is yours truly, Ruby Soho, here with some disappointing news. Now due to the injury that I received at All Out, a broken nose in two places and a mess of a septum, I have to have surgery and due to the scheduling of that surgery and the recovery time, I won’t be able to make it to the show on October 1st. You guys, I’m really, really sorry that I’m not gonna be there. Honestly, this is the only thing that would keep me from coming back to England. I was very much looking forward to the show and very much looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing all of you again, so for that, I do truly apologize. But I know the show’s gonna be incredible, still a stacked card and I am hoping in the near future, hopefully the show in February, I will be back, I will be better than ever and I will finally keep my word and make my debut for 1PW so, I apologize again you guys and I hope to see you again very soon.
