Jon Moxley Wins IWGP US Title On NJPW WK 14 Night One

Jon Moxley won the IWGP United States Championship on night one of NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 14 Event by defeating the former IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match. Due to Jon Moxley’s IWGP United States Title win, he is now a two-time IWGP United States Champion and the 8th IWGP United States Champion to hold the title.

Back in October Of last year, Jon Moxley was forced to relinquish the IWGP United States Title due to him not being able to defend his championship as he didn’t make it to NJPW’s King Of Pro Wrestling Event because of really bad weather.

Moxley was scheduled to defend his IWGP United States Title at the event against former IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson. Since Jon Moxley wasn’t able to make it to the show, the match was changed to Lance Archer vs. Juice Robinson with Archer walking out of the match as the new IWGP United States Champion.
