NXT Star Elayna Black Pulled From Match Against Joey Janela

Cora Jade (F.K.A. Elayna Black) was set to face AEW Star Joey Janela at GCW’s Fight Forever PPV Event next Friday, but that match will no longer be taking place. The match between Elayna Black and Janela was announced this past Thursday but was nixed shortly after as the match was announced the same day that Black was announced to signing with WWE.

Elayna has been announced to compete in the first-ever WWE Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. She took to Twitter and apologized for being pulled from the GCW event.

She wrote, “So sorry to all the fans @GCWrestling_ & @JANELABABY for not being able to make the show. Some things kinda came up [grimacing face emoji] BUT it’s still gonna be a sick show so please watch and continue to donate if possible! #FightForever [black heart emoji]”

Joey Janela took to Twitter as well and commented on the match being nixed. Janela also wished Elayna Black well in WWE and said that she has all the potential in the world and she will be very rich.

Joey Janela wrote, “NOT HAPPENING…. It was good to go, 5 min after we announced it, It wasn’t anymore lol I truly wish @CoraJadeWWE well, she has all the potential in the world and will be very rich! Just Unfortunately before she goes, she’s doesn’t get to wrestle the greatest wrestler in the [Earth emoji]”

Elayna Black made her WWE in-ring debut on this week’s episode of 205 Live, when she teamed with Gigi Dolan (F.K.A. Priscilla Kelly). They lost a first round match to Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell.
