PR: Paradigm Pro’s Hybrid of UWFi Rules and Hardcore Wrestling Will Air Live on IWTV

SELLERSBURG, May 3, 2021 – IndependentWrestling.TV (IWTV) will carry the live broadcast of Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s hybrid shoot-style hardcore event “Terminal Combat” event on Friday, May 21st at 7:30 PM ET.

All matches at this event will begin under UWFi Rules, essentially a hybrid of professional wrestling and hardcore wrestling. If there is no winner after five minutes, the match will continue under hardcore rules. (As the average match length for a Paradigm UWFi Rules fight is 4 minutes and 23 seconds, PPW expects most fights to end in regulation.)

The event marks Paradigm’s latest effort to bridge the audience for two of its seemingly contradictory signature match types: UWFi Rules and Street Fights.

“Last year, The Wrestling Observer misread a press release stating that we were running a UWFi Rules Super Fight and reported that we were going to run a UWFi Rules Street Fight. That inspired us to try and figure out a way to run a UWFi Rules Street Fight –  we’ve featured UFC Hall of Stephan Bonnar in a Street Fight before, so a UWFi Rules Street Fight did not seem completely out of the realm of possibility – so “Terminal Combat” was born. It’s going to be wild” said Paradigm Pro Wrestling co-owner Gary J. Wilson.

Four feature fights have been signed to headline the event: 44OH’s Bobby Beverly will defend the Heavy Hitters Championship against “Hoodfoot” Mo Atlas; Bellator and EliteXC “Weapon X” Matt Makowski will face Bruiser Brody Memorial Award Finalist Matthew Justice; American Deathmatch Champion John Wayne Murdoch will face his tag team partner Reed Bentley; and Major League Wrestling’s Dominic Garrini will face deathmatch star AKIRA.

A total of 13 fights are scheduled for the event. Other featured competitors include Ring of Honor’s Max the Impaler, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport veterans YOYA and Janai Kai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Dustin Leonard, Big Japan Wrestling star Josh Crane, Indiana Golden Gloves Champion Flash Thompson, and many others.

The event also marks Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s return to their home market (Sellersburg, IN near the Louisville, KY area) and their first live event with a live audience in six months. (While the state of Indiana has removed such restrictions, Paradigm Pro is still mandating that their audience wear masks to the event.)

“Terminal Combat” will take place on Friday, May 21st at the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, IN. Tickets are available for between $20 and $40 at TinyUrl.com/TerminalCombat.

The event will air live on IndependentWrestling.TV, the world’s largest library of independent wrestling. The streaming service IWTV is available on Roku, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, iOS, Google Play and more. Users can use promo code PARADIGM to subscribe for just $10 per month.
