PR:MLW Signee Big Beef Returns to the UWFi Rules Contenders Series

Official PPW Press Release

SELLERSBURG, January 19, 2021 – Recent Major League Wrestling signee “Big Beef” Gnarls Garvin will face Max Zero in the main event of a new episode of the UWFi Rules Contenders Series streaming at 10PM ET / 7PM PT tonight on IndependentWrestling.TV (IWTV).

“Beef has long been a fixture at Paradigm Pro Wrestling. We’re thrilled to see him sign with Major League Wrestling, and even more excited to have him back on our signature streaming series against the ultra-talented Max Zero,” said Paradigm Pro Wrestling co-owner Gary J. Wilson.

The episode will also feature an array of shoot-style specialists representing various martial arts including former professional kickboxer Vincent Nothing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Dustin Leonard, Illinois all-state wrestler Tanner Keeler, and former MMA fighter George Broman Jr

In addition to these consummate martial artists, two competitors better known for their deathmatch performances will also compete under UWFi Rules – Big Japan veteran Josh Crane battles Keeler, while Paradigm Pro Brass Knuckles Champion Ron Mathis returns with his fan-favorite “Shooter Ronnie” persona.

“The theme for this season of the UWFi Rules Contenders Series was the ‘Crossroads of Combat’ – and that’s really on display in tonight’s episode. We’ve got wrestlers with diverse backgrounds, all at very different points in their career, competing for the same opportunities,” said Wilson.

As implied by the name of the name of the series, every bout in the series is contested under UWFi Rules. Paradigm Pro Wrestling often utilizes a modernized version of the ruleset of the now defunct Union of Professional Wrestling Forces International promotion in Japan. UWFi Rules are essentially a hybrid of traditional professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. The key difference is that under UWFi rules, there are no pinfalls – matches may only be won via knock-out, TKO, submission, or points.

The UWFi Rules Contenders Series is currently in its fourth season and airs new episodes every Wednesday night on IndependentWrestling.TV, the world’s largest library of independent wrestling. The complete first three seasons of the show are also available for on-demand viewing. The streaming service IWTV is available on Roku, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, iOS, Google Play and more.
