Absent WWE Star Could Make His Return To TV Any Week Now

Top WWE Superstar and former 2-time WWE World Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles has been out of in-ring action since he lost a Singles Match to Judgment Day member and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Finn Balor on the September 15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Immediately following the match, he was brutally attacked by the Bloodline to write him off of television.

Styles was reportedly set to make his return to television for a number of times and he was also said to return this past Friday night on the Tribute To The Troops episode of SmackDown, but his return to WWE TV continues to get delayed.

According to Mike Johnson on a recent episode of PWInsider Elite, Styles’ return to WWE television is just a matter of the company’s creative figuring out plans for him and once that is done, he could be back any week. It was also mentioned that the initial plan was for him to return three weeks ago, but it makes perfect sense for WWE to delay it, considering the huge returns of CM Punk and Randy Orton.
