This past Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT saw a Triple Threat #1 Contender’s Tag Team Matchup take place between Malik Blade and Edris Enofe, Schism’s The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid) and Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs for the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships, currently held by Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson). The match was ultimately won by Malik Blade and Edris Enofe, but WWE sent out a clip of a spot in the match of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T saying that Briggs was busting out moves that he had never seen before.
AEW Star and one-half of The WorkHorsemen tag team JD Drake, who used to compete in EVOLVE Wrestling, took to his Twitter and noted that Josh Briggs was doing his moves from 2015-2016 and that he used to work with Briggs in EVOLVE for a few years, so it looks like he made an impression on the NXT Star.
Josh Briggs has yet to respond to Drake’s comments as of this writing, but Anthony Henry, Drake’s tag team partner did note that JD has been doing these moves since he has known him and he has never seen Briggs do them until now.

I did this in 2015-16. Worked with Josh in Evolve for a few years. Guess I made an impression. https://t.co/DUZQtw6r2C— J.D. Drake "ASE Certified Wrestling Mechanic" (@RealJDDrake) October 12, 2022
