Backstage News On Triple H’s Plans For The WWE U.S. Title

Fightful Select reports that WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H is planning to elevate the WWE United States Title as the top prize and championship of the WWE RAW brand. It was also noted that with “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns holding the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on WWE SmackDown for the time being, the promotion needs a title to be the top prize on the red brand and Triple H has decided that the WWE United States Title will be that top prize.

WWE United States Champion “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley successfully retained his WWE United States Championship over The Miz in a Steel Cage Match in the main event of WWE Monday Night RAW a couple of weeks ago and that was reportedly a part of Triple H’s plan to elevate the WWE United States Title.

A segment took place during last Monday night’s episode of WWE RAW, where Seth Rollins said he is the face of the brand, but he was interrupted by WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley, who said to be the face of a brand you must be a champion. It was then made official that next week’s episode of WWE RAW will see WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley defend his WWE United States Title against Seth Rollins and the winner will be the real face of WWE RAW.
