Triple H recently took over the WWE’s creative and since then a lot of big changes have happened such as several former WWE Stars being brought back, an improvement in the storylines including booking of the matches and how the characters are being presented and wrestling fans being excited to tune it to WWE TV each and every week. Not only is WWE Hall of Famer Triple H looking to bring back released and former WWE talent, but he is also looking to sign new talent from other promotions. Some of those WWE talents that were previously released, but were recently brought back include Johnny Gargano, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY and Hit Row (excluding AEW Star Swerve Strickland).
Professional wrestling legend and current AEW Star Chris Jericho seemed to reveal on his Twitter that the WWE has reached out to him about returning to the company. A fan took to Twitter and wrote, “Need a Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Chris Jericho faction. Make it happen Y2J!!!” Jericho then replied, “Hmmm…well Some higher ups want that to happen sooner than later! #tampering”
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that certain people in the WWE reached out to multiple AEW wrestlers including Chris Jericho, who is still under contract to the promotion. It was also mentioned that during a recent talent meeting held by Tony Khan he alluded to the tampering issue and said that AEW’s legal department sent a warning letter to WWE’s Nick Khan.
