CM Punk’s Promo On RAW This Past Monday Was Cut Short

Following the shocking return of CM Punk to WWE this past Saturday night at Survivor Series: WarGames from Chicago, The Best In The World made his appearance on RAW this past Monday for the first time in 10 years to address the WWE Universe. According to CM Punk, he is home and he didn’t return to WWE to make friends as he returned to the company to make money. Punk’s segment on RAW only lasted for a few minutes, where he also stated that he is now a different person and he returned to WWE for unfinished business and to prove that he is still the best in the world.

According to PWInsider.com, the initial plan was for Punk to have a longer segment, however the Randy Orton vs. Dominik Mysterio match went longer than originally planned and WWE had no choice but to cut Punk’s time, which is something that happens on a regular basis being that it is live TV. It was also revealed on the report that Punk delivered a more abbreviated promo than initially planned, but there were never any plans for him to rip AEW or Tony Khan, which is why a lot of fans felt the person they saw on RAW was a different Punk than what they were accustomed to and a different Punk than what they saw in AEW, saying it was the PG version of his character.
