Cody Rhodes’ Next Feud May Have Been Teased At A Live Event

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes made his return to the WWE at WrestleMania 38, when he faced WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a one-on-one matchup and since then, he has been pushed as a main-event calibre star. Rhodes feuded with Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at this past April’s WrestleMania 39, but came up short. The American Nightmare also had a long feud with “The Beast” Brock Lesnar that lasted for a few months and ended at SummerSlam.

WWE could have teased Cody Rhodes’ next feud as the company held a live event last Saturday from Palm Desert, California, where Rhodes was involved in an MVP Lounge segment with MVP and Omos. This led to The American Nightmare going up against and defeating current WWE NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio in a Non-Title Street Fight despite there being an outside interference from MVP and Omos.

It will be interesting to see if this was just an angle at last weekend’s live event or if this is the start of Cody’s feud with “The Nigerian Giant” Omos. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes is set kick off tonight’s episode of WWE RAW.
