Dillon Danis’ Loss to Logan Paul and Its Aftermath: A Look into This Week’s WWE RAW

WWE has always brought us memorable encounters and unpredictable storylines. This week was no different, as former Bellator star Dillon Danis faced YouTuber turned boxer, Logan Paul, in a match that will be long remembered. Their face off in Manchester last weekend was the talk of the wrestling world with the unexpected outcome leading to Danis’ termination from his gig at Bellator.

Our WWE RAW coverage for this week kicks off with Logan Paul’s appearance. His segment, which opened the 930 slot of October 23rd’s WWE RAW, was nothing short of a spectacle. The enticing yet controversial figure, known as ‘The Maverick,’ spared no time throwing jabs, not just with his fists, but with his words too.

Paul indirectly shaded Danis without naming him, stating how he ‘beat his opponent so bad that the promotion fired him.’ He seemingly relished causing Danis’ firing, leaving us to question if WWE will ever bring Danis in to address these remarks.

Despite never saying either Danis’ name or Bellator’s, Paul’s words seem to carry heavy implications – given WWE’s relationship with UFC, this could make for an intriguing narrative.

Adding spice to the story, Dominik Mysterio then stole the spotlight. He exchanged a highly engaging heel promo with Paul, forcing Samantha Irvine to announce Paul as the new US Champion. However, the story didn’t end there, as finally, Ricochet ran onto the stage.

In a bid to prevent Paul’s proclamation, Ricochet also pressured Irvine to introduce him as the new US Champion. His appearance suggests a simmering feud between himself and Paul, possibly leading to future clashes.

In other news, Tegan Nox was conspicuously absent following her defeat on NXT last week. However, Tommaso Ciampa did make it, leaving us excitedly waiting for what’s next in his WWE journey.
