Edge No Longer Listed On WWE’s Internal Talent Roster

WWE Hall of Famer “The Rated R Superstar” Edge revealed on WWE TV last year that he wanted to end his legendary in-ring career this year at a show in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and that WWE show just so happened to take place on a recent episode of WWE SmackDown, where the Rated R Superstar faced Sheamus in a Singles Match and celebrated his 25th year in the wrestling business.

Edge’s WWE contract was reportedly set to expire this September, with his final match taking place on that recent episode of SmackDown, but the WWE Hall of Famer revealed in an interview that his matchup against Sheamus was indeed his final match in his most current WWE contract, though his contract with the WWE won’t expire until October.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer “The Rated R Superstar” Edge is no longer listed on the company’s internal talent roster, but WWE.com still has him listed as an active performer. There’s no word yet on whether All Elite Wrestling has had a conversation with Edge or what Edge will do as it’s still possible that the WWE Hall of Famer truly retires this time around or he re-signs with the WWE, instead of signing with AEW.

It was previously reported that Wade Keller of PWTorch revealed that WWE Hall of Famer Edge presented the WWE with what it would take to keep him in the company, but it was believed that the WWE declined to meet the WWE Hall of Famer’s contract request and this has led to several people within the WWE to be under the impression that Edge will probably sign with AEW and they even knew at the time what AEW could and would offer The Rated R Superstar.

The WWE Hall of Famer himself took to his official Twitter (X) account and commented on the report of the WWE declining to meet his contract request and that he is AEW-bound, but it is still believed that Edge could be headed to AEW and could be reunited with longtime friend and tag team partner Christian Cage.
