Former WWE Star Returning To The Company, Deal Signed Long Ago

Several former WWE Superstars have been rumored to make their return to the company over the past few months, most especially after Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over the company’s creative and among the names discussed to be brought back is wrestling veteran and former IMPACT Star Chelsea Green, who was reportedly released from the WWE due to budget cuts shortly after she was moved up to the main roster from NXT.

WrestleVotes reported last October that the WWE has significant interest in signing Chelsea Green and if she does decide to re-sign with the promotion, then she may end up on the main roster, but nothing was confirmed at the time, though it has been speculated that if Chelsea does return to the WWE, then WWE could also be interested in her husband Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder).

According to Fightful Select, Chelsea Green has been under contract with the WWE “for quite some time now,” but she has yet to make an appearance on television because she is still awaiting creative. The report also states that with Chelsea now under contract with WWE, Cardona could be on his way back to the company as well and even though Matt has not yet signed with WWE, we should not rule anything out for the future. There were a number of signs proving that Green has signed with the WWE and one of it was Chelsea Green recently shutting down her Onlyfans page and the other is Major Pod having to limit the production of her new merchandise.

Chelsea last competed in IMPACT Wrestling this past October when she lost a “Loser Leaves Town” Match to Mickie James. Chelsea Green has not said much since then other than denying that she was contacted by the WWE, but she did add fuel to her WWE return rumors by writing, “Me, loving every minute of the internet continuing to keep me relevant.”
