Former WWE Star Teases Returning To The 2023 Royal Rumble

WWE is set to hold their 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Event on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas and even though there’s still a little over a month to go before the event will be taking place, the show has already amassed a gross gate exceeding $4.6 million as noted by WWE co-CEO Nick Khan during the recent third quarter earnings call. There is also genuine excitement for the show and a lot of buzz going around as this will be the first Royal Rumble under the Triple H regime.

One of the most anticipated, if not the most anticipated match of the entire year is the Royal Rumble Match as it typically features several surprise returns, including former WWE Superstars, legends and Hall of Famers and the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble Match will be no different, especially with “The Game” Triple H at the helm.

Former WWE Star Chris Adonis (Chris Masters) took to Twitter and has teased the possibility of making his return to the company at the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Event during the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. The Masterpiece posted a video of his last wrestling matchup of this year, while also tagging the WWE and writing down the numbers 10-0, which is a reference to the countdown clock for entrants in the match.

Masters made his WWE debut in 2005 and was released two years after. After being released in 2007, he spent two years competing on the independent circuit before returning to the WWE in 2009 until he was released again in 2011. Following his WWE departure, Masters he has been wrestling on the independent circuit as well as the NWA, where he became the NWA National Heavyweight Champion on two occasions.
