Over the past few weeks, WWE has had a number of main roster stars appear on NXT in an effort to make the brand into a viable third brand in WWE as well as to improve the brand’s weekly TV ratings and it seems that the company will be continuing this trend. Mustafa Ali, Baron Corbin and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins are some of these names that have appeared on NXT, but it looks like Corbin will be sticking around.
Dave Meltzer indicated on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Corbin is now a full-time member of the NXT roster and more main rosters stars will follow in his footsteps. Corbin has had several character changes over the years, which started from the lone wolf character, then he would transition into the King Corbin character, the Happy Corbin character and finally the wrestling god character when he was paired with WWE Hall of Famer JBL. Baron Corbin was even pushed as a strong heel in 2019 during his feud with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but all of his past personas have been dropped as it seems that nothing has been working for him.
Corbin recently returned to his Lone Wolf character that he introduced years ago, but last Tuesday on WWE NXT, the company aired a video promo where Corbin said he is done with the BS and nonsense and he even burned the outfits of all the gimmicks he has had throughout his career in the WWE, so the video not only confirms that Baron Corbin will be sticking around in NXT, but it also confirms that he will undergo another character change.
