News On If WWE Considered A Different Ending To Tribal Combat

The main event of this past Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event saw Undisputed WWE Universal Champion “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match, which means that not only will Reigns’ championship be on the line, but his Tribal Chiefdom as well. The ending saw Jimmy Uso pull his brother Jey Uso from on top of Roman’s body to cost him the match, the championship and the Tribal Chiefdom.

There had been a number of speculations since then if WWE considered a different ending to the Tribal Combat Match, with Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com indicating on an interview with McGuire on Wrestling that the promotion never considered it. It was previously reported that “The Head Of The Table” Roman Reigns suffered an injury during the Tribal Combat Match, but there is no word yet on the severity of Roman’s injury and how this may affect his monumental title reign.
