Paige Provides An Update On Her Neck And Pro Wrestling Future

Former WWE Star Paige, who signed with the company in 2011 and officially retired from in-ring action in 2018 due to a career-ending neck injury at the age of 25, made an appearance on The Bellas Podcast and provided an update on her neck as well as her future in the wrestling industry. Paige said she is still have minor issues with her neck, but overall her neck is fantastic and it’s looking good. Paige also said she can still see herself in the ring one day, but it would have to be for something really special like for WrestleMania.

This is what Paige said:

“My neck is fantastic, I’m having so issues with it, and it’s looking good.” “I still want more time though. I mean, I’ve had nearly five years completely out of the ring, which is, it goes by so quickly. I’m like, ‘How?’ But yeah, I can see myself in the ring one day, but it would have to be something really special and like for like a big moment, even like, for WrestleMania.”

Paige also spoke about what her future plans are following her career in the WWE and how she wants to do things she wasn’t able to do while she was still under contract to the WWE such as signings.

This is what Paige said:

“If I’m being honest, I don’t really want to do too much wrestling stuff out of the gate.” “I kind of just want to start branching out more to like, different opportunities, you know, and I am excited for it. I am going to be doing some signings, of course, because I’m never going to forget my wrestling fans.”

“I do want to take on a whole new world which I didn’t get to opportunity to do in WWE.” “It’s the only thing that would really frustrate me with them is having all this time off and then being like, ‘Well, can I go do this?’ and then getting a ‘No,’ it’s like, ‘Well, I’m just sitting here, I’d really like to be doing something.’”

Paige became the first-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion at the age of 20 and she would even become a WWE Divas Champion on two separate occasions. Paige last competed for the WWE at a live event on December 27, 2017 as part of the WWE’s Live Holiday Tour, when she teamed with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to take on Bayley, Mickie James and Sasha Banks. Paige’s WWE contract expired last June, which means she can now pursue other business or sport opportunities.

“I’m having so issues with it…”

I read nothing about her brain, so I refuse to believe she said this nonsensical bit.

I also offer myself as a writer, proofreader, or editor if you’re interested.
