The 2023 WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event will take place this Saturday, February 18th from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and the show will air live on Peacock in the U.S. and the WWE Network everywhere else.
As of this writing, four matches have been made official for the WWE’s 2023 Elimination Chamber Event and those matches are Edge and Beth Phoenix facing The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley) in a Mixed Tag Team Match, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya and Carmella battling each other in a Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, where the winner will earn a WWE RAW Women’s Title Match against WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39 and current WWE United States Champion Austin Theory will defend his WWE United States Title against Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Damian Priest and Montez Ford in a Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will also be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against former “Honorary Uce” Sami Zayn in the main event.
WWE United States Champion Austin Theory defending his title inside the Elimination Chamber structure at this Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event will mark the first time in WWE history that the WWE United States Championship will be defended inside the Chamber.
Dave Meltzer stated on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE taped a TV show that airs in March featuring WWE United States Champion Austin Theory and Theory is shown holding his WWE United States Title. Meltzer also noted that this doesn’t mean Theory will be retaining his title at this Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, but it is a possible sign.
This is what Dave Meltzer said:
“Theory taped a television show that airs in March holding the U.S. title belt. That doesn’t mean 100 percent that he’s retaining it here, but it is something.”
