Rhea Ripley is the Raw Women’s Champion. The Judgement Day’s lone female member recently visited India during WWE’s Superstar Spectacle and sat down for an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Mami shared her thoughts on a plethora of aspects including who she thinks would be her dream male opponent. Notably, this question arises as there have been instances where Rhea got involved in matches where male superstars were fighting.
These matches involved The Judgement Day members and to provide them an upper edge, or to help them secure a win, Rhea would unknowingly interfere in the match. It would lead to an intense situation where the male superstars would want to hit the former NXT Women’s Champion but refrained from doing it.
Rhea said she has no problems if male superstars reacted or hit her back, but that has never happened. The Raw Women’s Champion was asked if she had some dream male opponents, that she would like to face. She didn’t hold back and said that she would like to face Dominik Mysterio’s father Rey Mysterio.
The former NXT Women’s Champion also has the former Judgement Day leader Edge in her list of opponents. She wouldn’t mind facing the 14-time World Champion, Randy Orton too, in case a possibility arises.
I got a lot of male dream opponents. Obviously I would love to beat some sense into [Dominik’s] deadbeat father. I think me versus Rey Mysterio would be absolutely amazing, and I would put him in his place. Then there’s also Edge. I would love to face Edge. He was the leader of The Judgment Day at one point, and Mami don’t like getting bossed around by anyone. I don’t like feeling like I have someone in charge, and that’s why The Judgment Day works so well now. So, I still have a lot of pent-up aggression against Edge that I would love to get out.
But then there’s one more person that everyone keeps throwing at me, and that’s Randy Orton. They want Randy to come back so that I can get RKO’ed because I keep ‘sticking my business in the men’s business. Rhea Ripley keeps hitting the men, they can’t hit her back.’ They can hit me back. They just choose not to. You know why? Because they know their place. They know their role, and they know Mami’s always on top.
The list of opponents gives the fans the hope that one can expect some exceptional matches between the ropes. While no one can confirm if Rhea’s dream opponents would be ready to have a bout with her, but if it does become a reality then that would be interesting.
