Rising Sun Sets: Kairi Sane’s Last Stand in Stardom and Her WWE Return

In the glistering world of pro wrestling, a valiant chapter may soon draw to a close. High-flying superstar, Kairi Sane, possibly edges towards her Stardom finale on October 9. An exciting showdown awaits us, as Sane, Mayu Iwatani and Nanae Takahashi go head to head with Hazuki Koguma and Saya Iida.

Although not yet officially confirmed, Sane subtly hinted at her impending departure from Stardom. Following her emotional words during a recent Stardom event, the wrestling aficionado suggested her time with the promotion was on an ebb. It’s plausible that her electrifying promo set the stage for the upcoming clash.

Rumblings of Sane’s WWE return have made the rounds since August. The conjecture arose after it surfaced that Sane had penned a fresh contract with WWE, with a potential comeback in November. If the reports align with reality, the move is likely driven by the escalating triumph of IYO SKY.

SKY, beyond being a pivotal part of the widely celebrated Damage CTRL ensemble, holds the prestigious WWE Women’s Champion crown. Her accolades don’t stop there; she’s twice clinched the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion title and is a former NXT Women’s Champion. Given SKY’s prosperity, Sane’s re-entry to WWE seems a logical move.

Fueling her desire to re-immerse herself in WWE, Sane believes her sequel would fare better under Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s creative direction. Her first WWE tour lasted from 2017 to 2021, concluding with Sane acting as a WWE ambassador in Japan.

Her last televised WWE match, a victory against Bayley, aired on BBC Raw on July 20, 2020. Highlights of Sane’s first WWE phase include seizing the NXT Women’s Title and clinching the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title alongside Asuka.
