Road Dogg Will Take Over Jeff Jarrett’s Role In The WWE

As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg is returning to the WWE and will be working in an executive position, but it wasn’t revealed at the time what exactly his role will be and when he will be re-joining the company. According to Wrestlevotes, Road Dogg will be assigned to the role as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Live Events, a position that was previously held by fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, who recently left the company.

Road Dogg was reportedly not backstage for last Monday night’s episode of WWE RAW in Toronto, Canada, but word going around is that he is 100% back with WWE. Road Dogg previously worked behind-the-scenes in WWE NXT under Paul “Triple H” Levesque and in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida until he was released last January and prior to that, he worked as the head of creative for WWE SmackDown.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently campaigned for a job with AEW, but that never came into fruition. Road Dogg reportedly sat backstage as well with the IMPACT crew during their Emergence PPV Event, but that did not translate or turn into a job, especially now that he is returning to the WWE. During a recent interview, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he was critical of AEW’s booking and that’s the reason why he wanted to work there. Road Dogg also revealed he didn’t agree a lot with Vince McMahon’s ideas but he did praise Triple H for what The Game has been doing as of late.
