WWE HOFer Edge Announces Plans To Retire Next Year In Toronto

The main event of last Monday’s episode of WWE RAW saw WWE Hall of Famer Edge beat The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest in a Singles Matchup in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Immediately after the match and the show going off the air, WWE Hall of Famer Edge grabbed the microphone and addressed the hometown crowd. Edge talked about Priest being one of the best talents and the future of the industry as well as how he can’t wait to compete with Priest again and how he can’t wait to come back one last time in Toronto.

The WWE Hall of Famer also talked about how he is looking at the calendar and since WWE usually comes to Toronto, Ontario, Canada each and every August, he plans on returning to his hometown in August of 2023 for his retirement match and that this is the place for him to do it. Edge also talked about his comeback after being out of action for so many years, what he has done since his return, the pandemic and how thankful he is to the WWE fans. Edge would also talk about his pre-WWE wrestling days as well as how he knew he would be wrestling in front of his hometown fans.

Edge made his return to the WWE in January of 2020 at the Royal Rumble for his first match in 9 years after being medically unable to compete due to spinal stenosis. The WWE Hall of Famer suffered a torn triceps injury during a June 2020 match with Randy Orton, but returned after being on the shelf for 7 months.
